I bought an mid-length upper over the weekend and was wondering if anyone here might have some idea about where it may have come from.
The guy selling it kept throwing LMT's name around, but I can't find this configuration on their page or anywhere on the net.

16" LW, mid gas, chrome-lined, 1-7 twist
"F" marked FSB
M-4 cuts on receiver and extension, anodized.
A-4 style upper
Standard handguards

Thanks!

LW or gov't? Is the barrel marked 1/7? Any other marks?

Might be a CMMG.  Take the handguards off and look on the bottom of the barrel.

LMT Uppers, new ones at least, say LMT on the upper assembly opposite from the ejection port cover.

The barrel is marked on top ahead of the FSB, "5.56 NATO 1/7 Chrome Lined"
It is a lightweight (~.600" ahead of the FSB and under the handguards)

Nothing is written under the barrel or on the side of the receiver.

CMMG is the only maker of something like that, to my knowledge.

Sounds to me like a cmmg too.  Maybe they don't mark the lw ones like they do the govt. profile?
