Looks just like a Ciener. These are the guys importing the GSG5.

It does look like a Ciener?  I heard they are going to retail for about $350.00 for the entire upper with bolt assembly!

If it's made by the same guys that make the GSG you couldn't give me one. I had the GSG and it's airsoft crap.

From what I was told it is being built in the USA, and not by GSG, but distributed by ATI.  The video says made by Chiappa, ATI doesn't have any info on their site yet?

Really?  If this is so, count me interested.

This is going to be a dedicated .22 upper.  The upper assembly I think is going to be polymer and the barrel is going to have a 1/16 twist but I'm not 100% sure.  I can tell you that it is a slick setup and I'll be getting one as soon as they are released.  They should be coming with a magazine that is almost identical to the black dog magazine.  I have shot this upper in all of the configurations as in the video and it runs pretty darn good.  I thnk it's going to be a whole lot better than a Ceiner kits and I say that because I have experience with both.  It will be a whole lot nicer to just slap this upper on and go.  I am not affiliated with Chiappa or ATI but I am fortunate enough to have the inside information on this system and have seen it thru it's developmental stages.  For the price, it can't be beat and it will be well worth it.  Unfortunately I am not obligated to talk about specifics so I can only give general information.  Here is the hot link.

Any idea on a release date or pricing?

Wow, a whole upper for little more than the price of a bare ciener kit.  And from the video looks like it takes BDM mags.  Yum yum!

ETA:  that looks a lot like this upper at velocity firearms.  It was $299.99 in the latest SGN and is $335 on the website.  Doesn't look like the muzzle is threaded on this one so maybe it's not the same.

The Chiappa upper does have a threaded barrel that takes the bird cage flash hider.  I heard that they are shooting for spring 09 on the release date.
