I want to know if I can take a del ton ar kit and put a CMMG bolt in it so I can shoot .22 in it.

Let me know so I can make my shooting a little bit more less pricy.

Thanks guys.

If you have a standard or milspec upper group then you will be good to go with a CMMG conversion kit.   I AM ASSUMING THAT THIS IS A .223  5.56X45 UPPER THOUGH.  IF NOT, THEN NO, IT WON'T WORK.

Figure out what twist you want.  If you're running .22" LR through a 1/7 twist, you might be stuck shooting Aguila .22" SSS only.

Yes, assuming 5.56x45 chambering.

It is a big deal to get the right twist rate though. IF you're shooting .22LR that is at least 40 grain, you should look for 1x12, 1x10, 1x9 in that order of preference.

Light bullets like those twist rates.

Heavier rounds (62gr and above) like 1x7, 1x8, 1x9 in that order.
