Hey guys just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from Louisville Kentucky and my name is John. I've been into ar style rifles for awhile now and currently have a 14.5 Noveske. Here is a list of everything on and done to my rifle and some quick pictures (iphone pictures) lol.

Absolutely love noveske rifles lol this is my first and not my last as I just ordered a upper and lower to build a 20" rifle lol

Any particular reason you put the micro dot on the rail not the receiver?

Honestly I can see out of it better if it's a little more forward also I can see other targets out of  my peripheral vision

You will probably have a difficult time with your RDS holding zero with it being mounted on the barrel.  If you want it a little more forward you could look at getting a cantilever scope mount.  I would move the RDS to the receiver.
