What's up guys! Long time lurker here and I just want to say that this site is amazing. I've answered so many of my own questions thanks to the wealth of information posted here. Thanks!
Now...I recently purchased a fail zero bcg and when I got it, I noticed that its slightly different from the one I originally had. Actually, they're identical in every way except for the bottom portion. Here is a pic of what I'm trying to say...http://i747.photobucket.com/albums/xx119/sanchomaul/8425686d.jpg My rifle is chambered in .223 and and the description for this new BCG on the site read " caliber: .223-.224" but it also says "5.56". Did I order the wrong part for my rifle? I'm sorta lost. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |

Don't give it a thought!
.223 and 5.56 are the same thing as far as your question is concerned. BCGs are fully interchangeable. The military calls the cartridge the 5.56 x 45 and loads it in heavier brass, to higher pressures, and cuts their chambers and throats a bit looser. You are fully good to go. Enjoy!! |
