A couple months ago I purchased a new Bushie AR xn15 is the model I think.  My first venture in AR's and have had fun building on it and no complaints.  The mag that came with it seems like it needs specail attention to lock in.  Has gotten a little better with use, very similar to experience I've had with breaking in new pistols and their mags.  I ordered some Magpul's with the green follower and when loaded they have the same issue, but worse.  Is this typical?  More break in, training on how to load right, or should I be looking for a problem to correct.  Thanks.

It's an abnormal situation for a new rifle to require any special attention to lock mags in.

Might be a simple as an adjustment to the magazine catch.

I'd ask Bushmaster.

Are you loading the mag as full as you can get it or are you backing off a couple of rounds (28 rounds in a 30 round mag..)?

Full to "capacity" mags are difficult to seat when the bolt is closed on most ARs.

Just a thought

Thanks SDBuckaroo, I just did some reading in the troubleshooting forum and found exactly what you described.  I have been using fully loaded 30rnd mags plus 1 in chamber.  All makes sense now.  Thanks for your input, and those of others on the site.  Great place for info for those of us just getting started.
