Hello,
I just ordered a palmetto 6.8 upper for a new deer gun. I want something with around 2-7 or 2-8 power. It needs to godown to at least 2 for close up brush shots. I have been looking hard at the redfield Revolution. Does anyone have pics of that scope mounted on a 16" AR? Any comments on the scope? Also, does anyone have any other scopes I should consider? Thanks!

I have a 3-9x40 Leupold VX-1 with LR reticle on my .458 SOCOM deer rifle in an LT-104 mount, and I'm really happy with it. They also have a 2-7 version.

I have a Weaver Super Slam 1.5-6x24 on my 16" 6.5 Grendel (also a hunting rig).  $340 from Natchez after the current $50 rebate on Super Slams from Weaver.

That is a very nice looking scope, but I think it might be a little out of my price range...  I'm trying to keep it under 250. Thanks though, nice gun!

Now I'm kind of leaning toward the Nikon monarch 2-8.... Anyone have pics of one on a 16" AR and any feedback on it?

I had a Redfield Revolution 2-7 on a Marlin 44Mag. Handled that little shoulder thumper great. Redfield has great glass and tracked very well. Also assembled with Leupold components in USA. Very good little scope.
Another good scope(don't own) but has lots of very good reviews and following is Mueller Scopes. I like that they're a Illuminated "Red Dot", but with a crosshair design if illumination isn't needed. Take a look. They are Chinese built, but apparently much better quality and QC than most. Understand they also have great CS.
I also like Burris Scopes in their FullfieldII lineup. I have a couple, but they're 3-9x40. Outstanding glass. Not sure if they have this lineup in 2-7 though.
Surprisingly, very few offerings out there in 2-7 power type scopes.
