Just got a new upper for a build today.
Parts so far: Karris Guns upper and parts kit with M16 bolt/carrier Tactical Machining 80% lower Cheap krinkov brake/flash hider because I wanted to try something new on the cheap MBUS backup irons Will go EOTech Still need: Stock - not sure what one to go with Pistol grip - not sure what one to go with Mill out the lower - need a drill press or mill Problems: The free float rail is ever so slightly off center from the upper and causes my EOTech when hanging over the rail to be canted. How do I fix this? http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk448/ggprotrialer/DSC_0389_zpsxzhev4va.jpg http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk448/ggprotrialer/DSC_0391_zpst1cjhtod.jpg Mounted on my current build's Spikes lower http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk448/ggprotrialer/b8b04c87-0cbd-4df4-985d-b3b704c3f47a_zpsa4q1sx0e.jpg Sorry for the almost potato photos. Ill break out the DSLR and update tomorrow. |

Hold on a second there cowboy, your tryin' to tell me, you didn't use a potato? Looks potatoish, you get that dslr fired up, or you pack your bags. Not quite a potato! It was an old Sony smartphone though so close to a potato Ill fire up the DSLR this evening and get some real photos and update this. Ill add a photo of the rail mis match and see if anyone has any ideas. It causes the older 512 to sit funny since the older one holds the rail the entire length. |

I cant tell by the pics, but it "looks" like there is a nut that sits against the back of the rail. If that's the case, then try to rotate the rail counter clockwise to loosen it up and then adjust the nut out a tiny bit and retighten the rail till it aligns properly.
I'd need better pics of the rail where it meets up to the receiver to tell. |
