What round is the 1:9 barrel in 20" made for? I am looking to hand load rounds and want to know what GR bullet the gun was designed for, thanks.

The 1/9 barrel is made for the military M855 62 grain round.  It is the exact correct twist for that round.

For handloads I would look at 69 grain Sierra Match Kings.

Sure, it shoots most everything just fine 55 grains and up.
