I am looking for the AR 15 lower built without a mag well, singleshot that otherwise is identical to standard lowers?
Can anyone direct me to a suplier?
Thanks

You mean one of these things?
http://www.dpmsinc.com/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=LR-05V Just have your gun shop send 'em their FFL and order it.

So far, only DPMS have them. Or you may check eBay for 80% AR lower. Some of them do not have magazine wells.

I sent e-mails to DPMS to ask about the single-shot lowers. They said that the single-shot lower is compatible to all existing AR parts. No special or additional parts are required. At least you save the cost of mag-release botton and spring.However,1) How do I load a round? Insert it through the ejection port?
2) Will the brass be ejected automatically after fire? Or should I pull the charging handle to eject the brass?

I see you live in PRK, but I have to ask why do you want a single shot AR-15 lower when there is the FAB-10 with built in 10 round mag and DOJ letter saying it's okay.

Prices are different.

DPMS single-shot (stripped) = about $180
Fab10 (stripped)                   = about $300

For long range precision shooting, single shot is a little bit more accurate than semi auto. Just my opinion.

One has nothing to do with the other.

I take it no one in your area is willing to do dealer cost + 10% or something. I remember seeing a couple posts on here about FAB-10's going for ~$170 dealer, add onto that 10% and it comes to be under $200. However buying it retail for $300 sucks hardcore.

While that's often true when you're comparing a semi like the AR to a single shot rifle like a bolt or break-barrel action. I don't see how just putting on a single shot lower on the same AR upper is going to improve your accuracy. It's not changing any of the systems in the rifle other than removing the magazine feed. Of course I may be wrong here, but I can't find anyway this lower would help accuracy.

Well, the two choices have been listed, the DPMS w/ no mag well and the 10 shot FAB10.

Why do you want a single shot?  If you compete, I understand, but for "plinking", loading the rounds in 1 at a time will be a hassel.

I'm not familear w/ the California laws on what they allow or not allow...... you could always make a manual action aka "charging handle" unloaded rifle.  Bascially, it's not a semi auto.... unless, as I said, Kalifornia law forbids even that...I don't know...

The FAB 10 varies in price from dealer to dealer with some trying to fuck the buyer sideways. A call to the manufacturer assisted me in locating a dealer in Hisperia, CA where he lists them for $250.00 + tax and DROS. The FAB 10 lower reciever is depicted below populated with a lower parts kit including the pistol grip, minus the magazine release as this is a fixed magazine and an AR15 upper attached. (Parts kit and upper reciever NOT included in the price of course)

Kind of an outrageous price considering the standard AR15 varient lower reciever goes from as low as $80.00 and as high as <CENSORED> for those who are into paying way too much for things.

I have issues with casting the American Flag on that.

No, neither of those two restricted counterparts are any more accurate than the semis that accept mags or the real full-auto guys (all else the same).

HAHAHA!!!   yeah,an american flag on a gun that  is just barely legal for states that are against the 2nd amendment. I would suggest a commie flag or something.Oh well, back to packing my ammo cans i guess.
