Just checking in to say hello to all the AR aficionados.
I will admit that I love the shooting sports but know nothing about the AR15. Recently I acquired an Armalite AR15/.223 with OD green accessories. I'm converting it to black so I'm in the process of replacing rails, stock, grip, etc. I also plan on replacing the upper receiver as this one has the permanent handle on it. Can you recommend a few threads or videos or books that will help me familiarize myself with this weapon, including how to choose and install accessories, ammo, etc.? Also as I replace these parts, can you recommend a place where I can sell these older OD parts? |

search youtube for any topic on ar. They have tons of videos. From cleaning to assembling from parts.
As of ammo. Check marking on your barrel. If it marked 5.56 you can use both 223 and 5.56 ammo. If it is 223 some may say that 5.56 is not safe to use with this barrel. |
