I just received 2 Magpul 30 round PMAGs for my Bushmaster.  I know this is probably a dumb question but here goes anyway....

It says 5.56 on the magazines.  Is it okay to use my 223 caliber in the mags?  I'm guessing yes but being a newbie I had to ask.  Thanks for your patience!

5.56 and 223 are the same you are good to go..... load them up and send um down the range!

.223 and 5.56 will fit in the pmag. BUT only use 5.56 in your rifle if it is chambered for it...

i thought 5.56 was the "universal" barrel extension/chamber size, and IF you're chambered for .223, only shoot .223 in it
