So I'm putting together a build for my GF and buying a new rifle myself and I'm looking for some scope advice.  She will be getting a stag lefty upper with San Tan lower, and I'll be getting one of these.

We will be using these to poke holes in paper at the range, up to 300 yards.  I may use mine for hog hunting if I get the chance.  So I'm looking for something like a 3-9 or 12 with a budget of around $300 including mounts.  I'm not the best shot out there and my eyesight is getting worse.  The only thing I know about scopes is that my deer rifle has an old 3-9, it was my granddads hunting rifle and the serial number on the rifle suggests it was made around 1950.

So anyway, any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I did look around and found this and this.

Check out Primary arms selection for budget red dot variables.  Vortex and Burris are also in the running, but maybe not in a powered variable.

Good luck
