Hi, I am new to AR15's.  I went to my local gunshop last night and got a lesson for about 1 hour.  My question is do I want a Rock River 9mm or a Bushmaster .223?  I will not have a problem firing the 9mm at the range I belong to and there is outdoor ranges close to me to shoot the .223.  So which one do I buy?  The Bushmaster is I think a M4 style A3 config with the removable carry handle (sorry if I am wrong I just dont remember ALL the differences).  I just want it for fun, I carry my HK USPc .45 everyday.  Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the madness!

Start off with the .223 so you will have a "real" AR to toy around with.

Well, I was leaning to the .223 because they have it in stock and I can wait the week (Maryland law) and get it, the RR is out of stock until whoever knows when.  Once I get it I hope not to be a pain in the ass but I want a new front carrier (whatever it is called) to mount a Surefire forend grip and and small red dot scope that shows the dot inside the scope also, so I will have a ton more questions if you guys dont mind.
