[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Newbie question

I want to build a piston style AR and have a few questions. What is the difference in short stroke (LWRC) vs long stroke (Addax)? Also, what is the difference/purpose of some manufactures to have the bolt carrier key like a DI AR (Addax) and others not to have it traditional (Adams Arms/Spike's)? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.
