Any experiences ""good or bad"" with this scope? Cabelas has a pretty good package deal going, but I thought I would get some input before pulling the trigger.

I have a couple of them. I like them very much. They are clear and hold zero.

I have a 2-8 on a carbine, its a solid scope for the money.

Only thing I don't like is that the turrets are very easy to move, seems like every time I un sling the rifle one of them has moved a couple clicks.

I have one that's worked well. Only have about 500 rounds through a 5.56 with it but so far so good.

Its a tactical version of their Monarch (M) line.  The scopes are  bright, and well made.  I have several Monarch hunting scopes.  Only thing I don't like about their tactical line is the hokey BDC reticle which is mismatched with the turrets, obscures much of the target with all those little open circles and works well only for one load at one velocity.

I have a m308 on a ar10 with the nikoplex and it's been amazing so far. No problems, very clear glass. Only down side of it is no illumination and that's not a problem for most including myself but some like it. I normally shoot around 600 yards or so and it performs.

I do freelance Shooting Event's for Nikon and the AR Stages with M and P Series scopes is always a big hit. Easily a lifetime of shooting in 2-3 days so the scopes and AR's have to perform. In the 6 years I have been doing this we have not had one issue with a M or P Series scope having any problems. These scopes are not babied either. From dialing out the distance using the Rapid Action Turret or using Spot On to get the distances for each BDC circle these scopes provide repeatable accuracy and ease of use. If you can get a deal on one even better. I use the M-223 2-8 BDC 600 a lot just because I like the lower profile and it lets me reach out when coyote hunting. Below is a pic from a Nikon event showing a M-223 3-12 Rapid action Turret scope. Built around a 55 gr. bullet at 3240 fps. Shooting 4 inch jars of tannerite at 500 and 600 yards will make a believer out of anyone using this scope. Backed by Nikon's No Fault Policy there is no need for any after purchase concerns about reliability. Drop me a note with any question's.

Thanks for the info.  You seem very familiar with the Nikon scopes.  I have a Monarch on my 30-06, that I have been very happy with.  How do you ratetheP-223 vs the M-223?  Less than 1/2 the price is appealing, but quality usually wins out.  I am also considering an Aimpoint PRO.  It's my first AR
