[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Non-Anodized Lower build question

Any one ever build a AR with a Non-Anodized lower ? Are there any issues with doing it ?

Just thinking about building one using a bare aluminum lower and stainless barrel. Maybe even some wood funiture for a bench shooter just for fun.

Always good to hear from the crowd about what others have done.

I see a few of the 80% builds, and I don't think they are anodized. It looks like they shoot well.

I really like where you are going with this. I think it would look good.

I think it would be different with a stainless 18 or 20" fluted barrel. And a buddy of mine told me he found someone that makes nice wood furniture for ARs.
