Now that I have my first AR, what can i do in terms of swapping uppers onto my 5.56 DPMS lower?  Can i put a 6.8 or 9mm upper on it?  What modifications are needed if it can be done?  Do the mags fit the magwell?  What about 308?

Thanks!

In short...........6.8, yes. 9mm, able (if you change the hammer and install mag well block assy) 308, no (everything is bigger) Hope that helped.

1.5 technically. You can also get the .458 complete upper and use the same everything including magazines. W00T!

The .458 SOCOM from Teppo Jutsu looks pretty good.

Teppo Jutsu

They have a licensing agreement for Rock River Arms now.

The .50 Beowulf looks pretty good too:

Alexander Arms

Both of those go right on a standard 5.56 lower.
