I've been reading up on some stuff while I'm waiting for the parts for my first build to start rolling in from Del-Ton.  When I was looking through the Maryland AR site, I found the stuff about zeroing iron sights and found myself wondering what the 8/3 and 6/3 mean on the rear sight?  I got a detachable carry handle coming with my flattop, so I'm assuming it will have the 6/3 instead of 8/3 but it's not here yet so I can't look at it.  Anyways, what do the markings mean, and how do I use em?

Thanks

I HATE A2 sights

A1 or Flatop with BUIS ONLY  ( KISS)

50 yard zero is what I use on my M4`s

I would sell the carry handle and buy a BUIS  like TROY SAME PLANE or ARMS L same plane

A2 sights are good to learn with and to get good with irons.  After your effective with irons.  Get an optic and BUIS.

The detachable will have the 6/3 sights.  Here is a handy little chart to help you learn the adjustments.
