| Bought a Brownells Mil Spec 6 position buffer assembly. The 6 holes that the stock pin locks into, 4 are drilled all the way through. Not the full diameter of the hole, more like a pilot hole. Just wondering if this is normal or acceptable. Thanks. |

The holes should not be drilled all the way through, even a little bit. However, I don't see it being a problem. That said, I would return it.
Huh. I don't think that I've ever seen or noticed them, but a quick Google search shows that this is a "thing". Disregard the above. It's not standard, but apparently it's not only acceptable but "operator as ----" for when you come storming out of the surf and onto the beach.
