Bought a Brownells Mil Spec 6 position buffer assembly. The 6 holes that the stock pin locks into, 4 are drilled all the way through. Not the full diameter of the hole, more like a pilot hole. Just wondering if this is normal or acceptable. Thanks.

Completely normal.
Those are drain holes.

My KAC buffer tube have them too, but instead of 4, it has 3 drain holes.

The holes should not be drilled all the way through, even a little bit.  However, I don't see it being a problem.  That said, I would return it.

Huh.  I don't think that I've ever seen or noticed them, but a quick Google search shows that this is a "thing".  Disregard the above.  It's not standard, but apparently it's not only acceptable but "operator as ----" for when you come storming out of the surf and onto the beach.

Ok, I can go with the drain hole idea. Saves me having to pack it up and mailing it back! This is my second build so I'm still learning. Thanks.

Yep, normal for some.
