I recieved my OKO that i ordered from Night vision mall and immediately noticed the dot was fairly grainy, not crisp and not symmetric.  My friend noticed the same thing.
The only time the dot looks good is when co-witnessing threw the small peep sight.  I cleaned the leanse with lense cloth and cleaner as well as the screen over the projector.  Normally the dot is large due to a halo effect and is not just one cluster of asymetrical dots, but also has small arcs off the side of the dot.
Is this even half normal?  Should i send it back to nightvisionmall for an exchange?  Thanks.

My OKO looks nothing like that. It presents a clean, crisp dot. If i were in your shoes, I'd ask to have it replaced.

That could be a close description of the OKO I had, though it sounds a bit extreme. Mine did not have a crisp, clear dot (in normal daylight it did, but indoors it looked slightly more like a starcluster, sorta).  FWIW, I've yet to see a "red-dot" sight that did have a clear, exact symmetrical  dot (including Aimpoints, EOTs, OKO).

Is there any way you can post up some good pics through it in both daylight/outdoors and low light/indoors?

take it outdoors.

Even the lowest setting on the OKO is very bright.

the 4th-5th setting on my aimpoint is like 1 on the OKO.

Either way, if its too bright, it looks like crap.  They all do.

Try it outside in the sun, might "appear" better

I think you get what you pay for and a $150 OKO cannot be compared with a $375 Aimpoint.  I have played with both and I do like the OKO I'm just saying you can't compare the quality because it is a cheaper "red dot" style sight.  Just my .02 cents.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I've had a similar problem to those who have never seen a "clear" red dot.  If you have an astigmatism, red dots, holosights, etc. will not look clear.  It's an unfortunate side affect that the eye doctors don't tell you about.  Contact lenses are not enough to correct the astigmatism either.  Dot's only look clear to me if I look at them through glasses.

I experience the same thing with my Aimpoint and I have astigmatism to.  Some times I will see a clear round dot and sometimes not.  It depends on how tired my eyes are.  I guess I need laser surgery on my eyes.
