A couple of months ago I was in negotiations with a gentleman to buy his SR-25 match but the deal fell through. I was going to turn it into a EMC or sort of. About two weeks prior to this I bought another AR-10, an A4B. I decided to chop the barrel to 16.5, add all the goodies to make it a carbine. I added a Magpul ACS, MIAD, double star low profile adjustable gas block, M.I. railed hand guards and A Strike 33 King Comp muzzle break.
I was looking at a MAMS but I have a hard time paying that much for a muzzle device no matter how good it is, so I gambled with a cheaper option. The King Comp was under $50 and is a combo break flash suppressor. I have not shot it in low light to see how well it suppresses flash but the damn break works like a charm. It recoils less then my 21 lb bolt gun with a can. I could follow the 1 moa dot in the 1-4 PST all the way through recoil. To me this rifle recoiled less then a .223 rifle. There was no hop of any kind while shooting off a cement bench, I even purposely didn't load the bipod to see if I could make it hop. I could not, the rifle just recoiled straight back into my shoulder. I love this device, I wished I could make it work with my can because I would use it on the other rifles. If you are in need of a muzzle device I'd look no further then Strike 33... |

What is your comp's threading? I have a barrel with 5/8X24 and wanted a combination muzzle device. Yes it is and pics are coming.... Thanks for that info on the threads. I know most have that threading but I wanted to be sure. |
