I was at the local gun store the other day and saw a OTIS kit for a AR that would fit in the buttstock. I was about to buy it when I turned it over and saw it was nearly $50.00! I ain't against buying quality, but is it worth the price?

Thanks,

did you ask the guy selling it how much it was?  i usually see retail or list price on the items but they usually end up sellin for less

I think retail is $44.95, this one was $46.99! I will look elsewhere! It amazes me how many people still don't look on the net for such things! And how many retailers look at you with shock when you tell them you can find it for much less on the net--from another retailer!

Yeah look around . I got some of the Otis AR kits for $15 a kit. Over the Summer I got some deluxe kits with the the little cd instruction and color instruction booklet for $22 a kit.

I think  I sold them all off . But I will check to make sure if I still have one.

Otis is worth the price, but shop around, there are discounts available

I second that.

What I like about the Otis, is the size of the kit.

Many cleaning kits have components as good as this one, but the Otis puts it all in an organized, package that you can carry without any problems
