I just aquired a 20 round mag marked:
Armalite
223
Colts PFA
Hartford Conn.

Mag body is waffle pattern and made of steel, the floor plate is steel and looks like it is blued. The follower has an "S" on the front.
I looked at Troys mag faq, and that says that early 20 round mags were aluminum, what gives?
I think I have the floor plate markings correct, I left the mag at work so I'm going from memory.

get rid of that junk!!!!!!!
put it in a box and ship it to me for proper disposal!!!!!!! i will send you two usgi colt aluminum 20's for your trouble.

if you would rather have the aluminum usgi colt mags im/email me and i will see what i can do

Yup, pretty collectable mag. Value is probably anywhere from $75 to $250 depending on condition
