Got back from the last work hitch and this barrel was at the house. Allegheny did a great job profiling the barrel and the railed gas block. Been collecting parts for this for a couple years Reasons are the same as Subpar with his Mini NSW MK11 Mod CQDMR   Took it out yesterday and it works both suppressed and and unsuppressed

I wasn't getting any gas to the face and it is impressively quiet for its size. I was shooting a B&T Rotex Mini on a 12.5 also and the Rhodie was much quieter. |

Attached File Attached File Had the sling off the rifle and realized the rear QD swivel had failed. Spring tension was totally gone and the little ball bearings wouldn’t stay in place/extend. Sample size of one over many years using them but I’m out on QD swivels and back to maximum KISS mode on sling attachment. |

Went out and rang 4/5/6 and 8" steel at 300yds today with the 11" MR556A4 and 15.1 Lilja recce build. I said F it, and was just shooting M193 lol. Attached File Attached File |

No functional difference imo, I prefer the aesthetics of the AUS but the Scalarworks does the same job and I haven’t noticed and quirks with it. It does have a few nice features (the asymmetrical ring tops, leveling tool, etc) but those are marginal things. I’ve found the scope itself to be far more interesting tbh. For a 1-10 it’s very good. But the physical constraints of 10x in a 34mm body are impossible to get around and that means you have to live with compromise everywhere. I may suck it up and get an Atacr 4-16 but this Vudu really is solid so tbd. |
