Slightly easier than the PRI or BA barrels, though that could have been from the gas block itself. I mean, still went on tight no doubt (as all do), but I didn’t have to fight as much as I remembered fighting on the PRI, especially a BA barrel I had at one point. Again, just have just been due to different weather or the gas block. I used a surplus take off coronet/crane on the HCS and some taps with a plastic punch pin and a rubber mallet and it was in place without much fuss. I can’t remember on the dimples, I’ll have to look. Can’t remember off the top of my head if it only came with one and I drilled the other myself, or if it came with two. I’ll try and look through some pics to see. Pic for pic thread: Attached File ETA: Only pic I’m finding of when I got the barrel is this one. I’ll take a peek underneath later and see if I can discern if I drilled the dimples myself. Attached File ETA 2: Found another pic. Looks like it wasn’t dimpled so I apparently drilled them myself. Makes sense, based on the top and thin-ish jacket. It’s not much to see from the outside. Tiny entrance, maybe a quarter size exit. If they were close it doesn’t exit and just frags the chest. I usually do neck shots if they’re close enough. Those are tiny hole in and half dollar exit but it turns the neck into goop. Haven’t seen one go more than 100 yards (no heart and no lungs they still can book it). Shot over a dozen deer in the last year with this bullet. Can’t say there’s a mammal in North America that’ll tank a 77 TMK to the chest or neck area inside 300 yards. MK12 is a really great field rifle for hunting clearcut areas. I just want to add an offset Aimpoint to this one. The NXS F1 reticle on 3.5 power is way too fine. |

Quick question. What's the best barrel to use with the long collar for a mod 1? I want to make sure everything will line up for the supressor.

Unless you toss it in with the paint still wet or have some bougie seat material, you'll never see it.

I know they have used the Mk5HD and PRS on separate rifles but, is there any pictures of them being used together on the same rifle?

I know it's no lightweight rig but with a Sopmod it still makes it only a few inches longer than a carbine. |

For an optic on the mod 1 would you go with leupold mk5 3.6-18 tremor illum, nightforce nx-8 2.5-20 in either mil-xt or tremor 3? What mounts would you do with each?

Sorry mod 1. Was a typo. Was thinking mk 12 as well as mod 1 and just put mod 2 lol.

Why are Mod 1's so sexy? It's like they literally said "lets try to make this rifle the most sexy". It's tied only with the M110.

Well I decided on the Nightforce nx8 2.5-20 for my optic on my mod 1 build. Problem now is choosing rings or mount. Ant suggestions?

Something with a slight cantilever. Rear of optic should be flush with the back of the charging handle on most optics on an AR. For good eye relief and LOP. |

I'd do 1.5" 0 moa for sure. 1.375" is the best cheek weld with a Sopmod for me. 50mm will clear on 1.375" depending on what caps your gonna run. Tenebraex might not clear. |

View Quote I will run the tenebraex most likely. I ordered the 1.54 c1 mount. If for some reason it doesn't work for me I'll do a 1.7, but most of shooting with thus will either be prone or bench most likely as I have my carbines for everything else. Pretty sure I have everything ordered now. |
