BA barrels are guaranteed sub moa with match ammunitio, iirc Yeah I know they're guaranteed sub-moa, but it seems like everyone is making that guarantee these days. My chrome lined Colt M4 barrel is sub-moa with match ammo. I'm just thinking do I want to spend $200 for that, or would I feel better springing for something higher end? |

If the barrel is accurate and made out of the right materials, what more are you getting with more money? I got my mod h barrel HERE for a great price. Hopefully that helps! Give us some guidance and we can better help, but be warned sometimes clone builds take a little more time. I would start by getting an A1 stripped brownells lower while they are still in stock. |

So here is an example of higher end:I've got a Rainier Arms Select barrel and two Rainier Arms Ultramatch barrels. My dad also has a Select barrel. All 4 of them are sub-MOA per Rainier's guarantee. But, the "higher end" Ultramatch barrels are significantly better. 1/2 MOA or better. So I guess that's what I'm getting at. If a certain barrel might be a little more accurate or more reputable, I'd prefer that. But if the BA is going to be as accurate as a more expensive, higher end barrel, I'll get the BA Edit: thanks for the link. They're definitely a sweet price |

I guess I've never heard of anyone buying a BA and saying it wasn't shooting as well as a different manufacturer. Not saying that isn't the case but that's been my experience. I've had a rainier ultramatch as well and the fit and finish seems to be on par. Ultimately, if it's something that is weighing on you, get the barrel that scratches that itch. I've been good to go with BA but then again, if the rifle can shoot sub moa, I'm the weakest link, not the barrel! |

i had a $260 rainier arms select medcon. it shot .75moa with bh. my woa shoots under that with my handloads and .75moa iirc with bh. it was $200. ive done .3moa 3 shot groups with it. a few .4 and some .6moa. its done it frequently with a rear bag. id honestly never pay more than 250 for a barrel unless its cut rifling and garunteed to do 1/4min groups. this woa is nasty. |

I've been good to go with BA but then again, if the rifle can shoot sub moa, I'm the weakest link, not the barrel! BA makes a good barrel, they will shot MOA with five shot groups at 100 yards no problem, and occasionally .75 MOA groups. MOA is excellent and the military sniper school considers a barrel that shots MOA a keeper. I know that everyone these days seems to claim that their barrels shoot MOA but please keep in mind that all of those guarantees are with three shot groups. Rainer for example makes a fine barrel, but it isn't going to consistently shoot .50 MOA with five round groups. If all you are wanting to do is shoot the smallest groups possible then I would go with a Douglass or CLE barrel, mine are at most .25 MOA better than my BA. If you are wanting to hit steel at 600 yards and rarely shoot groups but still want great precision than BA is what I would go with; is an additional $300 worth .25 MOA? To some it is, if I had to redo things today I don't know that it would be. BA is a great barrel and I would never have second thoughts about using one, in fact I don't. Parts list below (please keep in mind that this came piece, most from EE, not all at once. Though I've had the upper built since 2014 I only recently moved to the A1 lower for this gun. I'm officially on the Mod H train and in the process of buying what I need to convert my new 6920. The suppressor is where I'm drawing a blank. I'm currently trying to find a shop in southern Idaho that carries Allen Engineering suppressors but I may end up just getting one from Adco and doing a transfer. |

Blue, you have the coolest rifle in this thread...so much character. Almost makes me want to build a Holland.
But I gotta say...the gun I really want is your friend's M24. |

I'm not sure what you're paying for when you say "higher end". If the barrel is accurate and made out of the right materials, what more are you getting with more money? I got my mod h barrel HERE for a great price. Hopefully that helps! EDIT: Looks like they have free shipping at the moment as well! They're definitely a sweet price The 16" Bison on my H shoots a bit tighter than the 18" Douglas on my Mod 1. The 10.5" Bison on my 300BLK H shoots great as well. Thanks, I'll check them out. For the AE can, i would also check with Capitol Armory. They are a dealer for AE. I have bought 2 AEM5 and a AEM30 through them. great service and very fast form3. |

Long collars are back in stock, finally get to order the correct one.
SPR Collars are in stock as of the time this email was sent.
This email is to inform you that the item you placed a monitor on has arrived and is in stock, at this moment. Please understand that this in no way has reserved the item, or placed it on order for you. This is simply a notification of arrival. We recommend you go to our site and place the order as quickly as possible, to reserve that item. We are NO LONGER taking Back Orders due to the logistics involved, caused by long delays in manufacturer deliveries. Our website inventory system is based on PROCESSED orders, and may actually show the item as in stock "Buy Now", however, if other customers have ordered the number of items we have, then your order will be canceled. If you receive a cancellation, within a day or two after placing an order, then it means that the items were placed on orders prior to yours, and we have run out of that item. We here at ADCO appreciate your business and will do our best to provide the high quality products and services you have come to expect. If you have any question, or comments, please feel free to email, [email protected] or [email protected]. Thank you again for your patronage. Staff, Adcofirearms.com |

| So I ended up getting a steal on a 16" RA Ultramatch barrel, and I also bought one of those collars that just came in stock at Adco. The barrel will need to get profiled for the collar, looking at Adco's contouring options, it looks like they have a service that profiles the barrel and includes a "custom" collar for $120, or they have a service that just contours for $60 but it looks like it's for the M4 .7x.7 step and not the SPR contour. I don't really fit either option, but I think my needs are closer to the M4 step. Is this something I should just get in touch with Adco for? Anyone else had a SPR profile done by Adco? |

Posted the question to Adco, apparently they "can't" do the SPR profile to this barrel. I'd either need to just get the M4 step and use the M4 AEM5 collar, or get an 18" barrel with the SPR contour. I don't know why they could do the M4 step contour but not the SPR contour. I'm gonna throw the mic on the end of the barrel because unless it's too skinny already, it doesn't make any sense |

Hey guys looking to build a Mod H after seeing Blues and bunch of other guys set ups on facebook and instagram. I plan on this being a long term project. I know there has been a lot of discussion of barrels, but I just want some clarification.
BA (223 Wylde SPR) and Bison (223 Wylde SPR) are all barrels you guys recommend that are off the shelf more or less. If I want a Douglas barrel,I have to custom order it either from them or from high caliber sales But no matter which barrel I choose, I will have to get it re-profiled to fit the Ops brake and collar? The re-profiling is more or less what I am a little confused about. I will probably pick up a BA barrel, but I am curious about doing a 300 Blackout with a Bison barrel. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks guys. |

Honestly they will both shoot great, find the one that's cheapest and in stock |
