Would someone be willing to trade their KAC FSGB for a Daniel Defense M4 octogonal locking collar for the SDM-R?

I've seen a couple for sale this month but the price tag was crazy. Seems to be the trend for clone parts over the last year especially

A couple of years at least. Honestly I would say around Sandy Hook. I bought mine four years ago and I never saw them in stock anywhere after that

I thought maybe longer. I honestly have no clue. I just thought those gas blocks disappeared and I'm sure the uppers dried up. Kinda like the DD FDE RIS II uppers. I have a few BCM RIS II uppers also that I really like. Really curious to see that BCM SAM-R upper. I think I should get it Monday or tuesday. I'll post pics.

Even when they were readily available they weren't that easy to come by |

Did the SAM-r Use the TS30A2 TMR or Mil Dot? I know the Mk12 used the TMR but I'm asking about the SAM-r.
|
|
|
I have a question about the lower receivers used in SAMR and SDM-R rifles. If I wanted to build a "more correct " clone I'd need to start with an 80% lower and then get it engraved, correct? And am I correct in that I'd use any of the newer style lowers that are available as long as they're "milspec" ? In other words NOT a retro style?
Thanks! |

View Quote Yea I'll watch that. Watch someone get 1k for a gas block. If they are selling for 870.00 in the EE I'd say 1k on eBay easily. That one has been pinned too. I thank god every time I see things like this that purely by chance I bought all my clone parts before this madness. There is a FF RAS (long) on there too approaching the 600.00 mark. You could probably win both for 2k. hahaha...ebay auction ended early......big suprise |

two questions on the SAM-R and SDM-R:
1) Any quidance on which sling to use with each rifle? 2) SAM-R and Mk12 Mod0 both have A.R.M.S #22 rings. I use high on both, but the specs on Mk12 Mod0 listed Medium. Not sure what the difference would be, other than a slightly different next twist to get eye relief. They both have the same scope. |

Thinking about the rings. With a 36mm lens, why would the Navy have used HIGH rings? Was it where the cheek hit the A2 stock? I would have expected lower rings.

Next, have barrel sent out to have a M4 barrel extension installed instead of Rifle, Then swap upper and BCG for Colt M4 variety ETA: scope looks canted...it is just mocked up, hopefully it is just optical illusion. |
