It looks heavily inspired by the Geissele, costs the same, but is a lower quality aluminum. If it was something like $150-$200 I think it would do well. At $300 why not just buy the real thing though. |

Paying my dues to the thread that caused me to put this together. I picked up the Duracoat RAL spray can and did the ACOG, Light, front site and some mags. I can play the long game in finding a tano acog, folding Troy front, and not paying 130 for an HK mag.
Matrix Arms Receiver set (thanks to this thread) Noveske CHF 13.7 with Surefire 3 prong RAL furniture Chrome BCG SSA-E A5 setup I think the rest is self explanatory. Some good looking rifles in here.

I switched from the Geissele 11.5 inch barrel to the Centurion Arms 12.5 inch barrel and added a Vortex PST 1-6x GenII. This Centurion barrel is legit, perfectly gassed for suppressor use and decently accurate right out of the box. Geissele DDC receiver set and MK8 rail and an Aero Kodiak Brown buffer tube to keep it all tanodized.

I had a few iterations and about 7 months of saving money and buying something that didn't work. Start all over again. Example, the Coyote B5 stock sometimes looks like RAL and other times darker online. I picked up one with a RAL looking photo, and it was dark like brown. So I sold it, and bought a RAL one on Gunbroker that I think came from Brownells. The receiver set is kinda goldish. I really like it. Got lucky on that one. I was hoping it would be a tighter fit with the barrel like a thermal fit situation, it's not but whatever it shoots great. Great price for it too. |

Don't see Shaffer Machining listed in the 1st post. So... I just stumbled upon them. Looks like they've got some goodies in both Tan & ODG anodized.
