I'm really digging that rear Iron Sight! Details on it please??? Also, that Centurion rail is my favorite rail that I've ever owned and used. I've installed a lot of FF and standard rails for family, friends, and myself of many types, length, makes... The Centurion is the most solid and best designed of all that I've ever held and used... Nice color choice on it as well. I'm betting Centurion didn't coat that and you either did it yourself or had it done. Details on that too please... Again, nice build and thanks in advance for answering the above question(s)... Lastly, damn nice build! Thanks, Reagan |

View Quote @osprey21 That is one classy carbine. I have been wanting an A1 upper to put with a 14.5 or 16" skinny barrel for a long time. |

I really need to get it out in good light and break out the Nikon D7k for a proper presentation. The "50 shades" thang is certainly on this one too. Long time thinking about an ODG build, finally came to light. You da man |

Is there a source for OD anodized lowers? Last thing I need is a lower in OD to complete my “50 shades” build, and I am tired of waiting on Vltor to get with it.

That's all I could find in anodized ODG (reasonably priced anyway.) Sure, I'd love to have a Colt/Geissele/Aero M4E1 ano green, but not willing to get butt raped for it.. I missed the boat on Aero's limited run ano green M4E1 upper/lower set they offered last summer. I begged them to re-release them again. We shall see. Truth be told, I just really like the Scalarworks PEAK irons a lot. Having the rear ghost ring in the Unity mount is kinda pointless like I have them setup, if I could easily remove them I would. I also realize the folks who think, why use the Unity mount if you're not going to run the built in irons? I get that too. I just happen to really like their RD mount. I could have went Midwest Industries 2.33" and saved a bunch of money. Hmm... So, in a nutshell It's because I'm weird. ETA: Even though you'd think it would be a PITA to get all this to work together, it's not. They're perfectly usable paired up. |

I'm looking at a similar setup and just wondering the reasoning is all. It seems like they would get in the way of each other. |

View Quote No worries at all my friend. Yes, it seems like it would be a PITA, but it's not. Again, you could go with a Midwest Industries mount @ 2.33" and have an un-obscured "window" for the irons. But, they're not QD, and black only. Still a great mount and stupendous value. |

Just got the receiver set and handguard back from the cerakoter. The MK8 was a beautiful shade of DDC and I was hesitant to cover it up, but I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. |

I bailed on the Fed rail and picked up a green MK16 13.5 for my ADM set. I mocked it up and now I'm debating going shorter barrel/rail and Form 1 it.

I'd definitely switch the MK16 rail out if it wasn't tabbed as the stand alone rails pictured are a closer match to the rest of the gun. When buying anodized Geissele parts it has been my experience that it is better to purchase two of each item so one can select the best color and sell off the other. Cheers |
