Can Oly put on mid length handgaurds on their 9mm upper?  If not how hard is it to move the front site up the barrel and do it myself?  Just thinking that it looks better in the configuration.
Thanks Ryan

It's not a standard offering on their website or in their dealer catalog, and I don't know if they even have/make mid-length handguards.  So probably not, but it might be worth a call to their sales department to ask if they'll do it for you.

You can relocate the front sight base yourself to install mid length handguards if you've got a drill press, and a punch and hammer to remove and then reinstall the front sight base taper pins.  Drilling the pin grooves on the barrel isn't easy when your sight base has already been drilled, though (the drill will tend to skip off the oblique surface of the barrel which it's been presented, so you might need to make a 'fake base' to get the holes drilled, or start over with a new, undrilled sight base to get the new holes done correctly.  If you've got a milling machine, you could mill the taper pin grooves without too much trouble - just be extra careful on your measurements so that the handguards will fit properly, and you'll have spaced the new grooves to the existing sight base's holes.

The only mid0length handguard that Oly offers is the FIRSH rail handguard. It's in their catalog, but check with Mark Buda, he may have some on the shelf.

Talk to Oly and they stated that they would put one on, I have to provide and gunsmith labor.  However, I would get 15 dollars back for the original car handguards.
