Well, last night I told my wife I thought it was time that I finally order the Colt 6450 that I've been drooling over for a long time.  She sounded possitive about it, and didn't say anything against the purchase at all.

So this morning I placed my order for a 6450!  Then I called her to tell her it was done, and she sounded a lot less possitive about it.  Oops!

But while I wait for her to decide if she's happy or unhappy, I'll be impatiently waiting for my new Colt to arrive next week!

Pictures to come when it gets here!  And Yes, this will be a future SBR project.

I find it funny how us manly men with our AR's turn into little boys when we have to confront the wife about purchasing yet another firearm or accessory. To quote my wife....."Well, how many do you need?"

LOL

you better take somthing nice home for her. That would keep her mind off the colt

The best advice you'll ever get.  Remember...when the wife's not happy...no one is happy.

Most women like horses.  Tell her, you bought her a Colt.

I just ordered my IDF type upper and my wife doesn't care.  She gets what she wants, I get what I want.

I don't say anything negative when she wants to buy something.  That way, she can't say anything when I get something.

Yesterday was my 33rd wedding anniversary so I guess I understand about wives a bit.  When we were 1st married she would ask the, "Well, how many do you need?" question.  I'd always respond with, " Less than the number of pairs of shoes you have."

That was usually the last she asked me about it.

They never are. But the good thing is she is ok with it. She is a keeper for sure.

My wife has NEVER told me not to buy a gun. In fact, she has lambasted me on one's I have NOT bought that were good deals. She's a keeper. I think that I would be broke if I listened to her.

How about buying her a nice one, jeez you're slow. She's probably hinted at it a dozen times. You're welcome.

She doesn't want any guns, she's NOT anti, she's just not interested.  Her hobby is gardening, and just last weekend I built her two new gardens in our yard (using 7 pallets of landscaping block!).  She's quite happy about that, and I think that played a role with her actually being very perseptive about the 6450.  She told me when I got home yesterday, that she wasn't mad at all, she just thought it was funny to mess with me by acting unhappy!

We complement each other rather well, she doesn't usually have a problem if I buy guns.  And I don't say anything about all the gardens and landscaping she has me do in the yard (although it does help out my lawn mowing reduction plan!).
