I just put together a new M4gery (My Build) and am contemplating my options for optics.  I am having trouble deciding between an Aimpoint Comp ML3 (with the thought that I might later add a 3X  Magnifier) or an Eotech with a GG&G Accucam mount.  I have a Bushnell HoloSight which I really like.  Either is more than I'll ever need.  I'm just a rapidly-approaching-middle-aged-corporate-lawyer that shoots 3-gun every couple months and in between likes to pop a lot of rounds.  Thoughts from the collective genius of ARFCOM?

I love my EOTech but have shot and also like Aimpoints.  If you can, find someone who will let you try theirs out. Nothing like actually using something to help you make up your mind.  BTW you can also use Aimpoint's magnifier with the EOTech.

You really can't go wront with either setup.  I prefer the Eotech but Aimpoint is just as good.  For me, this is what stands out.
Eotech for FOV
Aimpoint for batter life

get both!

but if you really like the holosight and fear change then why not go with the eotech

or you could get the aimpoint and then have both!

I've got both...hey, I really AM a member here lol!

As Teknic said, you can't go wrong with either.  I prefer my Holosight by a hair over the Aimpoint, but I really can't say why.  If you like yours already, just get another one.  I'm one of those "I gotta have one of everything" guys, so I just ordered an Accupoint.  I'm trying to get that "one sight does it all" thing going, for some CQB and longer range shooting.

The only problem with the Accupoint set up is that by the time you spend the money for the Larue EER mount, you're pushing $800...which would be pretty much what the Aimpoint and Magnifier would be.

I like the Holosights because you don't need any additional mounts, so it's cheaper in the long run...not to mention Midway has pretty good dealer pricing on 'em.

My C&R has paid for itself 50 times over by now.
