Hey guys,
new on here but have been reading posts on here for 4or5 months just didn't have much to add/ask, till now.
I picked up a shooting mat/gun bag, seems alright for what I want to use it for, pairie dog shooting but would like to find a hard shell case for my 6-24x50 Burris scope. It's just under 17" long so alot of the pistol cases will not work or are just overly big. I've checked Pelican, Storm and a bunch of the other plastic case companies that will google up, but nobody seems to make a long skinny protective case, like for a scope.
Any "reasonably priced" ideas?

BTW: I Have looked into the PVC pipe end of it, with target knobs and the base, a 4" dia is a bit to close, so 5" would be it and that's as larger than a the local hardware stores carries, besides I'm not real fond of that idea anyway. But if that's my only choice, so be it.

I don't know where to get them anymore, but not that long ago, there were these really nice surplus starlight nightvision cases that you could buy for about $35.  I bought one from a buddy who deals in surplus.

Here's a pic of one that Mfingar has.

I'm sure it would fit your scope, plus any other accessories.

Why not look into getting a really nice Storm case for your rifle and cut the foam to fit all your accessories?

Thanks Salmon,
yea, I'm planning on picking up a Storm, Pelican or some other "nice" hard case for it pretty quick for everyday storage and transport, but in the field (ie, dog town) I would just like to take the drag bag/mat with something to protect the scope as added insurance at least thats the idea.
Everybody I've talked to it about, says there should be something like that out there but they've never seen one.
