I couldn't find this one in the search function, so here goes.

I'm looking to buy my first AR and most likely will get the Tactical Master from http://www.ameetecarms.com/ as is, but can not decide on which gas block/ sight to go with.

My thinking is that I will eventually get the EOTECH and have BUIS only for when it fails.  This in mind, wouldn't it be a faster sight picture (less clutter) using the EOTECH without the standard A2 sight block?

I'm thinking that the tendency would be to put the dot on the sight post instead of dot/target/shoot?

Also, why would I want to co-witness to my EOTECH?  Do you normally use both at the same time?  Seems that using a two point focal system can only slow down snap pictures when compared to the one point of a "dot" sight.

Anyone switched from a "dot over A2 sight" to a "dot over flip up block?"

you point out very good arguments over which one to go with, i have no argument with anything you said all i have is what i use and what is comfortable for me

i like cowitnessing.
1) it gives me added comfort that my dot is on target since i feel that the iron sites is less likely to shift
2) helps me visualize a better sight picture with the rear and front perspective just in case one day i have ot depend on buis.

with flip sights versus std i really have no argument since i own and use both and think that i like them both evenly.
