I have no experience with optics and I'm having issues with mounting them correctly.  My experience has been that once mounted, the screws on mounts / optics work themselves out.

Ex 1:  I have a EOTech with the thumbscrew mount and it has fallen off the rifle twice now
         during firing.

Ex 2:  I have an Aimpoint mounted on an ARMS68.  The screws that hold the ring tight on the
Aimpoint loosend to the point that the scope slidesback and forth within the ring.

My questions:

1.)    Is there a mount that I can replace the thumbscrew mount on the EOTech (something
like the ARMS throwlever mounts)  or some way to keep the thing on the rifle?

2.)    How do I keep the screws tight in the Aimpoint mount?

Thanks in advance

Follow the directions - finger tight then 1/4 more of a turn with a coin.  I've never had a problem if you do that extra 1/4 turn.

The other option is to buy the GG&G throw lever adapter or the LaRue Mount.

Loctite - read AND FOLLOW the directions and you won't have a problem.

Blue loctite is your friend. There aren't too many machine screws on an AR15 that won't work loose from vibration if you shoot them enough. Even the grip screw can use a little loctite.
