They have newer versions with circle dot reticles and those are far better for short-range work. |

The lenses are hard ish to move when they have been sitting, once you overcome that o ring drag they move a lot easier. |

I have shot my 10.5" 5.56 twice at our local club's CMP match. In June, I used my Romeo5 with the PA 3x magnifier. Unfortunately, my astigmatism is still present with the magnifier and still looks like 2 dots and a comma. For the August match, I used my newly mounted red, SLX 1X paired with the 3x magnifier. The red chevron was daylight bright and contrasts nicely against the black target centers. The crisp chevron's defined aiming point was a big help vs the Romeo5. We shoot all stages at 200 yards. For example, my score in June was 354 (0X). My August score was 413 (4X). I really like the 1X SLX prism with 3X SLX magnifier in the SLX flip to side mount. I only have ~150 rounds through it, but it's met all my expectations. |
