| ADAMs arms(?) makes a retro fit piston kit. They claim that it will INCREASE accuracy.... Can anyone confirm that ANY PISTON SYSTEM for the AR15 will help in the accuracy department? Is there a piston system that will work on BULL/Varmint barrels???? |
To be honest with you I have a POF and it is able to shoot MOA with the ammo it likes but my other two DI AR's can outshoot it all day long. One is a bull barrel upper from Model1Sales the other is a RRA Lightweight Entry and they will both shoot half MOA with the ammo they like. Think about all the other piston guns out there (AK, MINI-14, etc) none of them are going to win any accuracy contests any time soon. I am a fan of the piston system on the AR because I think it will give me unmatched reliability. I wouldn't buy a piston system to help increase accuracy. It will most definitely decrease accuracy but if you are after reliability than it might be a good choice for you. Just make sure you keep this in mind before you shell out the extra dough on a piston system.
