I am a new AR15 owner (RRA Tactical Entry).  I went and ordered 10 new PMAGs with windows from Dynamic Armament.  They came today, and there were a couple things I was surprised about.  First the did not come in any type of packaging, just tossed in a box with peanuts which was no big deal, but I thought was slightly strange.  Secondly (and the reason for posting) is that I was surprised that there was very little differentiation on the color of the marking on the spring.  All the pictures I had seen, the marking looked bright or florescent even.  On mine it is like a dull copper color, and almost indistinguishable.  I was curious as if this was the norm?  Are mine an older model?  I have never seen one in person, so I do not know what they are supposed to look like.  I have not heard of any knock offs.  Or am I just being anal?  I attached a picture of mine.

production date should be on the mag for one.

my mags had a faint color on the spring, a q tip and a little dab of paint of your choosing works great though. I went with candy red. (cuz its what I had!)

There have been quite a few posts recently on the marking issue, so do scan through the first 10 pages or so to find those posts.

As for a new style - the Windowed versions are still the 'old style'; the M Revision has only been made on the 30rd Non-Windows.

PS:  Welcome to the board!

Well thanks for the replies.  I did find the date code and it is 2/09.  I guess I was expecting a little more pronounced marking.  I will look through the previous pages.  Looks like I will have to break into the wife's nail polish!!
