When were these made?
Are they still in production?
How do I determine if they are pre ban?
When can I find a good source for pre ban mags?

They were Federal Ordnance before being called PMI, IIRC, late 1970's to early 90's.
They were out of business prior to the ban, so everything is "pre-ban"

There's no "source" for 16+ year old magazines. Places like CDNN will buy the contents of closed dealers and gun-related manufacturers that will occasionally turn up quantities of pre-94 mags. The last time I saw PMI's in quantity was CDNN @ 2004.

Last ones I bought were $25 each, and while they are great mags, they had rusted springs, so add $12 per mag + the cost of Magpul Followers and you're spending $40 for a mag you can get from C-Products for $15 each. I also had to clean a little rust off of some of the bodies as well. I like the ones I have, but won't buy more, even if they surface. Also they're a bit too big for some lowers as well. They can get stuck but effing good if you don't test the fit before you slap one in.

The reason i want these particular mags is they are all I can find that are pre ban and legal in NYS
