I have the opportunity to buy a POF 415. I have not heard of this company or know much about their rifle.
Does anyone own one currently or owned one in the past that can give me some good input one these rifles.
What are the pros and cons of this rifle?
Thanks

I own a POF P415 with approx. 700 rnds  thru it so far. Other than a batch of bad ammo resulting in blown primers with associated failures, it's been perfect. Took it through a carbine course and it was flawless even when we created conditions to simulate failures. It's definately on the heavy side due to the design, the handguard and heat sink add those additional ounces. The Rock Creek polygonal barrel is sub MOA and adds to the hefty price. As mentioned, it's a piston operated system which also attributes to the weight but it's a night and day difference when it comes to cleaning.
I'd suggest asking your question on the Piston Systems Forum for reasons I won't go into but everyone knows. I'd also suggest try and handle one before you decide. Good Luck

Would you happen to know if the parts are easily available if something breaks?
or will I have to get parts directly from POF?
Thanks for the detailed reply!
