Yes, I just recieved my much sought after POF P-308 Recon (16" barrel).
This gun is absolutely evil (in a good way  )
I am now casting my net for suggestions on what type of optic to get for this rifle. Do I get a smaller 1-4 power scope, or a big daddy long range 4-12x50 sucker or something in between? For a 16" barrel, you primarily want a light (relatively), fast, 0-500 meter hammer.... right?
A TA11-E ACOG would be good.... I have one and I love it, but (there's always a but), it's BIG. Way bigger than you'd expect. My first choice on a rig like that would be the TA33-G9. http://trijicon.com/parts/TA33G-8_45-web1.jpg Light, fast, good eye relief, and 3X is enough to answer the mail at any realistic distance you'll be shooting at. |
that is one nice rifle I would go ACOG on that.

How about the IOR 1.5-8X ? Great glass, tanklike build with either with a CQB reticule or duplex/dot. Currently mines sitting on my FAL, but when my 16" 308 POF arrives on Monday it will be making the move....
