I installed the POF trigger (Made by Timney I hear). Single stage, 4.5lbs.

The stock pins that were on the Armalite lower are very loose with POF and have  almost no tension and fell out a few times.
I used the pins that came with the trigger. They are a little tighter but visibly longer and extend beyond the receiver. You can still take them out without a punch. They came with washers that you insert at the end of the pin to keep it from falling out.

Are these the right pins? I got it from someone who was going to install them in a 7.62 receiver, do I need different pins for AR15 lower receiver? Or just leave them the way they are. They extend beyond the side of the receiver maybe 1mm or 2mm. The older pins were flush with the wall.

Second question, while the trigger install was 10 minutes like the promised, I spent an hour messing with the safety. It took me that long to realize I damaged the safety detent spring, initially I thought it was something wrong with the trigger install.
When I get the new spring, what position should the safety be in when I install the grip with the spring?
