I was thinking about buying a M4 Carbine. Could someone give me a ballpark price for a new vs used basic weapon.

For a basic gun that was factory assembled and is now used ( i.e. Bushmaster or RRA), I would pay no more than $700 shipped. Price goes up appropriately for beels and whistles. I would pay less for lesser brands and FrankenARs.

If you're looking for value, and this is a first or second AR, I highly reccomend buying a complete stag upper, and then putting a lower together yourself.
When friends are getting into ARs, that's what I reccomend they do for a first. No one's complained yet.
