Anyone got one? I'm thinking about getting a mid length one for a 12.5" Grendel SBR I would like to build. So does anyone have one? Preferably on a SBR?

have 2 regular gen 3s and a delta, but no sbr. they are awesome but honestly priced higher than other rails that do the same thing.  they aren't the lightest anymore, but they are extremely solid and handle heat well. if you don't mind the price tag you won't be disappointed.

I have mine on my 'not quite Mk. 12', I went with the delta over round purely for cosmetic purposes, but I've got to say it's pretty awesome. Lightweight, really cool looking, sturdy. Only downside is the price.

you probably know, but just in case, the top rail doesn't line up with the receiver. normal buis will be off if you are using them. I think PRI makes a special front sight that will work.

Why's that?

I have a 15" Delta rail on my 18" SPR. Really well built, but certainly one of the most expensive ways to go for no real weight savings over newer designs. There certainly aren't many out there, but the folks at PRI were good to deal with over the phone and offer a discount for mil personnel.  I really like mine on my SPR since the flat bottom rests well on bags and other surfaces.

Biggest downside is the iron sights though.  You'll have to use their sights since the rail on the handguard isn't on the same plane as the receiver rail which messes up your elevation adjustments.  Not sure why, but it's a fact nonetheless.  Their sights aren't small, light, or cheap.  Their good, but I'd rather have lower profile and lighter sights.

As long as you're ok with buying entirely into their setup, you'll be gtg.  It's very high quality, but high tech as of 2001ish.

Well it was just a thought, any other suggestions for a hand guard for a 12.5" SBR? I've been looking in the SBR thread but nothing really pops out.

There are numerous choices for handguards out to 11".  My 12.5" Noveske has the 11" NSR handguard, for instance.  It just depends on what type of handguard you are looking for.  Your OP looking for the PRI suggests you are looking for a modular tube?  Look at Apex handguards.

PRI makes good stuff but I'm not a fan of the Delta. Get the round and rock it!
