I came upon this picture on the ammo-oracle I have had good results with the 77 SMKs in my 1/9 twist bushmaster and I have noticed that the 87 grain PRL is a little bit shorter than the 77 SMK, what are the chances that this would work in my gun, and what are the terminal ballistics. Also, where could I find them all replies are appreciated |
Yep. Brou directed me to a former employee who gave that info. There are currently no plans to resurrect the Powell ammo lineup. If you are interested in picking some up, I came up with a source for a very small quantity of the 87 grain ammo. Be warned, it's VERY expensive. IM me if you want the contact info. -Cap'n |
So I've heard from the good Doctor. FWIW, it sounds like that the75 grain Hornady TAP is more than adequate for defensive purposes in 95% of the cases out there. If it's combat accurate out of your gun, then that's what I'd go with. Just MHO... -Cap'n |
