ok this might be tuff to understand but i built a dpms ar 15 with 6 pos. stock. and right where teh spring goes in the stock and where teh stock meets the gun there is a little spring with a little cup like thing with a pin on the top. well when i charge the gun it pops out and is loose in the gun. can anyone help this is my frist build.

You need to screw in your stock tube another turn or two.  The end of the tube rides over the base of that cup like thing allowing the point to stick up and keep the buffer and spring back in the tube.

Losen the castle nut, run the stock tube in farther so it partially covers this piece, just make sure you can still press it down. Then retighten the castle nut.

No problem, we were all new at this at one time or another. The important thing is you are learning about your rifles function and not just buying a pre-assembled and sticking it away for safe keeping.
