Just got a new upper!  Always been a Melonite guy; so this is my first CHF and CL'd rifle.  Decent price?  How's the quality for PSA uppers?  Already have a PSA BCG and handle :).  Any ideas for a Cali compliant lower?

Here's the link!

I have a carbine gassed chf upper with moe guards and it's been great to me....the fn barrell is pretty sweet especially for the price

Mine is a 16 inch, CHF FN A2 barrel from PSA. It shoots a helluva lot
better than the owner does.

Great upper to specs but remember the accuracy will be worse compared to melonite due to the lack of uniformity in the CL process. Great shooter as long as you don't expect the same groups you get from your melonite.

PSA is GTG. My best advice to you  is to leave that God forsaken state, FREEDOM is just a couple hundred yards away. I left in 1996 and have never regretted it in the slightest. As far as I know any Lower can be neutered to make it compliant. They sell replacement mag release button that won't release the mag, and I think the stock has to be pinned as well, but don't trust me on this as I haven't kept up with the crazy gun laws in Californistan.

Ironically California is not as bad as Maryland in that regard. They will let you use a collapsible stock provided the "bullet button" is on the rifle. And if you really want to piss off the politicians that forced the AR's in California to be that way, get one of those bullet buttons that takes a magnet to remove the magazine and leave it on the button. Get a pair of those 10/20 or 10/30 magazines and couple them together and its ready to piss off any gun-hating Californian in the state.

To get back on the original topic, I purchased a PSA mid-length upper assembly last year, had the FN chrome-lined 1:7 twist barrel and all those fun specs and so far its worked through a few hundred rounds without any problems.

The PSA is a good upper especially that one with the CHF/FN barrel. As far as places like CA I dont know and stay away from states like that so cant help you there. I moved out of NY because of their BS....
