Hi everyone.

I purchased a PSA 16" CHF kit to put on a Spikes Lower.  Going to be my first build and first AR.  I see the lead times posted on the PSA website and am just wondering how acccurate this is?  How long has it taken you all to get your parts.  I am excited about getting it put together so I can shoot it ; )

They have a wait time now? I've gotten stuff from them relatively quickly in the past... Where are you seeing the lead time?

thanks for the quick replies.  Their website says 10 business days before ship and also could be additional time due to other factors like holidays etc.  I was just wondering as it seems they are doing a lot of business based on all the posts I have seen.  Cant wait to get it and by the way this site is great!  Been lurking for a little while.

Should be fairly quick.
There arent shipping within 2 days like some places, but a week, maybe 2.

Thats not really a wait. Places like delton make you wait 3 months

Two and a half weeks seems to be about the average time for each of my upper orders from them since last may to just recently  Well worth the wait IMO.

Unfortunately, that wait applies whether you ordered an upper they have to build, a lower that is already in stock, or any random part that is in stock.

I ordered everything I need to build my first AR from PSA.  From my research, they seem to be the best value on the market.  It really sucks that it's taking so long to get my stuff though.  I have several friends who are using me as a guinea pig.  They already own AR's and are interested in PSA but are going to let me build my rifle first before doing business with PSA.  I'm going to have to be honest about the wait times and customer service.  It may scare them off.

I guess it isn't a big deal for PSA really.  They obviously are getting more work than they can handle.

To be fair, by reading the PSA industry forum, you hear some complaints yea, a few of those were "kind of" self-inflicted, some are outright PSA errors (orders wrong, missing pieces, etc) but what you only see a glimpse of are happy customers.  People are more likely to complain out loud, but there are also a fair number of "well dones, thanks".  There are also NONE who haven't been taken care of that I've seen.

PSA says orders are up 1000%, they've hired a bunch of people and hopefully they are learning from their mistakes, streamlining processes, new-hires become more efficient at their jobs etc.

More relevant to the thread:

My brother ordered a 14.7 CHF LW kit on...the 10th I think on my recommendation and it has not been shipped yet.  We already have his PSA lower we got on their christmas sale though, but it's been too cold to shoot anyway, he's not in that much of a hurry.  I expect it to ship this week probably.

I purchased a 14.7 CHF kit before christmas, it was delivered in less than a week and has been great, I was able to put about a 100 rounds through it on new years day

Mine took a bit more than 2 weeks. Well worth the hiccups and time.

I order my 16" middy on the 12th and there was a shipping label created on the 18th so who knows? I'm starting to loose patients with them.

Update!

I recieved a shipping notice yesterday and I should have the kit by the 27th.  That is better than their website says as I ordered it on the 14th which is a Saturday so it probably did not get processed until Monday the 16th.  I will update again when I get the kit in my hand and inventory all the parts.

I ordered a complete M4 and a light weight MOE  kit both took a little less than 2 weeks and one of them was before Christmas when they had huge sailes going on , and the other was right when they put the lowers on sale for $49 . Both runs run flawless , No issues at all , they eat steel cased ammo without any hiccups . both are very very accurate for a 16" barrel . Wait times are about equivelant or longer with Spikes and Stag.
I was the guinea pig for my FFL dealer also , He will be ordering more goodies from them with those cheap prices, I dont expect to see them continue the cheap pricing with all the demand out there , Their name is out there and they have quality products . I am a very happy customer

Another update!

Rifle kit arrived yesteray the 27th so that is 13 days total for delivery.  Fit and finish was excellent, all parts were there and packed nicely for shipping.  I put it together and now just need to find time to shoot it and sight it in.  I was going to post a pic but it seems I am not having much luck figuring it out :(  will try again later

I wait time is very long. I ordered a lower build kit Jan 14th. According to UPS, they got it on the 26th. And I ordered a complete upper on Jan 12th, it has not shipped yet. If they have to build uppers I can understand the wait, but a build kit should be a' take it off the shelf and box it' item. Shouldn't take 9 business days. very slow.

37 days on a lower with no response to inquirys not impressed with finish but 49.99 turned into 99 with ffl ok not great but functioned I sold it for a spikes. I have since emailed called no response in 3 weeks so going another rout.
Hopefully they will someday get on line like other companies. Ok value for most part

I ordered a 16" mid-length upper and various parts on 1/21 and received a UPS number the other day, according to UPS it should be here by Tuesday...so not to long of a wait.  However, I ordered a stripped lower on 1/20 and haven't heard anything about that yet.
