| I just bought a new PSA upper and put it on a Bushmaster lower. Everything seems to function fine, but i have to gently tap the rear takedown pin with a small rubber mallet to get it in all the way. Needless to say, the upper and lower are very tight. The original Bushmaster upper was not loose, but i could easily push both pins in with my fingers. Is this normal, or am i just being paranoid over nothing? I want to make sure everything is right before taking it to the range. |

This is not uncommon, the pins will and should loosen over time with use. The tolerances are just tight and need to be broken in. This is a far better challenge to have than the tolerance being too loose. Safety check at the range and enjoy. |
| Steel takedown and pivot pins under spring pressure on an aluminum receiver. I notice more wear on receivers I swap uppers the most. It's just normal for these pieces to wear at friction points. I think it's important to understand that upper and lower fit have little to do with accuracy. Put 1000 rounds of M193 through your rifle and check again. |

Rather have that than a wobbly upper. |
